14 March Medicine Day Message from Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mr. Adnan Yüksel

On the 103rd anniversary of 14 March Medicine Day, our Rector Prof. Dr. Adnan Yüksel celebrated all physicians and health workers who have served in the field of health and commemorated passed away health workers with gratitude.

On March 14, 1827, the first modern medical education center of our country, Tıbhane-i Amire, and Cerrahhane-i Amire were opened. Since 1919, 14 March has been celebrated as the "Medicine Day". Our Rector Prof. Dr. Adnan Yüksel said: “We can’t thank enough our physicians and health workers who are self-sacrificing and do not recognize the concept of overtime and fulfill their duties in the best way possible from the past to the present. I would like to thank all healthcare workers once again for their outstanding efforts. On this occasion, as we celebrate Medicine Day, I commemorate with gratitude all our healthcare workers who passed away, especially our healthcare workers who löse their lives while working devotedly. I congratulate all our physicians and healthcare professionals on March 14 Medicine Day, and wish them peace, happiness, and success.”
