Our Former Minister of Forestry and Water Sources and Member of Parliament of the city Afyonkarahisar Prof. Veysel Eroğlu visited our University. Our Chancellor Prof. Adnan Yüksel and our Vice Chancellors Prof. Sevim Savaşer and Prof. Mustafa Solak have met with our MP Prof Veysel Eroğlu. In his speech, Mr. Veysel Eroğlu emphasized the importance of setting goals. Pointing out that, there is no port for a ship without a route to reach. For this reason, he stated the importance of annual, 5-year and 20-year goals.
Benefits of being a Pleaser
Stating that communication is very important in the academic world as it is everywhere, Prof. Veysel Eroğlu conveyed the benefits of conducting studies that will pave the way for all faculty members and of constantly meeting and exchanging ideas. Explaining that the cooperation of universities both in Turkey and abroad is important, he shared his thoughts on the work that can be done. He also recalled the advice of Sheik Edebali; "Resentment is ours; Pleasing is yours", Prof. Veysel Eroğlu shared that it is very valuable to be corrective and pleasing.
Universities Carry the Torch of Science
Our Chancellor Prof. Adnan Yüksel stated that our university is working hard to become a leading university in research and generating new ideas, in order to benefit our country and the world. He told that each faculty and department has attracted the attention of the world with their publications by closely following all developments in order to be the best in their field.
Explaining that our university carries out research specifically in the field of health and pharmaceutical studies, our Chancellor Prof. Adnan Yüksel shared that the studies to be carried out will also reduce the foreign dependency of our country. He also added that universities are places that carry the torch of science and Biruni University will always fulfill its responsibility on this matter.
