HAPPY MARCH 8th TO OUR WOMEN; WHO PRODUCE, UNITE, CHERISH AND TRANSFORM

Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Adnan Yüksel sent a congratulatory message for March 8th International Women's Day

Rector Yüksel made the following statements in his message: "March 8th International Women's Day was declared by the United Nations in 1977 and is celebrated all over the world as a day of unity and solidarity in which women's rights are defended and their aspirations for development and a more peaceful life are expressed.

Women are an integral part of social and economic life and the basic element of the family, which constitutes the smallest unit of society. Our women, who work tirelessly for the welfare of individuals in the family environment and show all kinds of sacrifices in all areas of life, have also raised generations ready to sacrifice their lives for this homeland and nation.

We wish for a Turkey where there are no psychological, sexual and physical attacks against women; where women's rights and freedoms are equal to men; where women increase their activities in economic, social and political fields; and where they are much more visible and powerful in society. I congratulate the March 8th International Women's Day of our female staff, students, women of our country and the world on behalf of the entire Biruni University Family"
