November 10 Ataturk Commemoration Ceremony Held in our University

    The founder of the Republic of Turkey, Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was commemorated with a ceremony held at our University on the 83rd anniversary of his passing. To the commemoration ceremony held at the Reyhan Conference Hall; Our academics, administrative staff and students attended with cloves. The ceremony started with the sound of sirens when the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk passed away at 9.05. A moment of silence was held for the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all our martyrs, and then our National Anthem was sung.

    The world needs scientists

    Making the opening speech, our Rector Prof. Dr.Adnan Yüksel stated that every young person should work hard to contribute to their country and the world, and said that universities are the most suitable places to learn. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Yüksel said, “The Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk has worked for his nation all his life. We will continue to work with all our strength to raise young people who are useful to the society. Never give up on your work. Be the one to research, question and sign the inventions”.

    Our world-renowned scientists

    In order to indicate the meaning and importance of the day in the program, our Education Faculty Preschool Teaching Department Assoc. Doc.Ebru Kuşçu. She emphasized the personal characteristics of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and stated that every young person should work hard to contribute to their country. Expressing that we have a large number of scientists who are shown as examples all over the world, especially in Turkey, Kuşçu emphasized the importance of their work.

     

    November 10 is Not a Day of Mourning

    One of our students, Sultan Altundaş, in his speech titled 'Today is November 10', said, "November 10 is not just a day of mourning. It is also the day to repeat our promise. We greet Atatürk's eternal memory with these thoughts and feelings. His mortal body is in Anıtkabir, but his soul and love are in your hearts and ours.” he said.

    We should work for our nation

    Our student Beyza Nadiroğlu, who took the floor, said, “There are heroes in the history of every nation. Atatürk is one of the immortal heroes in Turkish history. What he has given us throughout his life has elevated our homeland to the level of contemporary civilizations.” he said.

    The ceremony continued with our students Esma Nur Tekin, Emre Albayrak, Elif Güldemir and Efsa Dağlar singing the "Mustafa Kemaller Tükenmez" rond. The ceremony ended with the closing speech of our student İpek Su Korkmaz, after the video screening prepared by the Preschool Education community.
