Teachers' Day Celebrated with Great Joy

    Organized jointly by the Preschool and Mathematics Teaching Community, "Teachers' Day Ceremony" was held on November 30, 2022 at the Reyhan building of our university. The ceremony started with a moment of silence for Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK, martyred teachers and all teachers who have passed away The ceremony then continued with singing the National Anthem. Then the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Adnan Ömerustaoğlu made a speech indicating the meaning and importance of the day. Prof. Dr. Adnan Ömerustaoğlu Emphasized the basic competencies of 21st centuries’ teachers .Ömer Ustaoğlu underlined the importance of improving thinking skills in education. He also pointed that the main purpose of education is train the mind to think.

     

    The ceremony continued with a play named "The Beginning of Everything" and its cast consists of; Faculty of Education 2nd year Preschool Teaching Department students Efsa Dağlar, Şifa İnce, Hilal Yörük, 3rd grade student İhsan Demircan, 4th grade student Esma Nur Tekin and 1st Year Child Development Department of Faculty of Health Sciences student Rümeysa Eriş, 3rd year student Nazlı Yüksel. In the theater play, the lines were applauded by the academics and students attending the ceremony.

     

    After the theater play, Faculty of Health Sciences Child Development 1st year student Nisa Uzun read her script "Dear Teacher"

    Then, İlke Cemre Bıyıkoğlu, a 1st year student of Preschool Teaching at the Faculty of Education and 4th grade student Büşra Yüksel, who accompanied her with her beautiful voice sang "Uyan Alim" and "Yalan Dünya".

     

    Teachers' Day Video received Great Attention

    Faculty of Education teachers' and 4th grade student of the Department of Preschool Teaching Esra Nur Öğe's video was watched with great attention.

     

    Lastly, the ceremony was concluded with a poem. 2nd year students of the Department of Preschool Teaching at the Faculty of Education. Nazime Demirkıran, Gülşen Öztoprak, Efsa Dağlar and Hilal Yörük, 3rd year student Hayriye Karadaş, Faculty of Health Sciences Child Development 1st year student Sude Kardelen Çöpçü, read the poem "Happy Day". After that, Erva Kıran, a third-year student at the Faculty of Education, and also the president of the Literature and Poetry Society, presented a video of her interview, in which students were asked questions about teaching.
