Our Rector Prof. Dr. Adnan Yüksel, "I commemorate our martyrs of March 18, who gave our nation this unique victory, our heroic veterans who passed away for eternity, and all our martyrs who fell to the ground for the sake of the homeland with mercy and gratitude," said in his message on the 18 March Martyrs' Day and the 107th anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Adnan Yüksel, in his message on the 18 March Martyrs' Day and the 107th anniversary of the Çanakkale Naval Victory, said:

“Çanakkale Victory is a glorious manifestation proving our biggest strength and wealth is our love for our country and commitment to being a nation. Çanakkale is an epic example of our love of independence. Çanakkale Victory is the greatest example of independence defense. Çanakkale is impassable.”

Students were at the front voluntarily
Countless students of engineering, medicine from universities, and even from high school volunteered to protect our country at the front lines. Countless lives from our entire nations including our youngest and brightest were martyred. They showed that Çanakkale is impassable. We owe our present existence and independence to our martyrs. On this occasion, on the 107th anniversary of the victory, I commemorate with gratitude and respect all our martyrs, heroic veterans, and especially Veteran Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who left his mark in history with his unprecedented leadership and our soldiers, who waved our flag in all difficult conditions in every period."
