Another article that made an impact in the science world is published in an international journal

The international success of our university continues. Teaching in the Cardiology Department and Cardiology Specialist of our Hospital, Assoc. prof. Cüneyt Koçaş who prepared the article, and was featured in the "Journal of American College of Cardiology Interventions", one of the most respected publications in the world in the field of interventional cardiology.

Our University, which has made a name for itself with the studies that have been done, continues to carry out works that have made an impact in the scientific world internationally. Teaching in the Cardiology Department and Cardiology Specialist of our Hospital, Assoc. Prof. Cüneyt Koçaş's article is titled "Comparison of Radial (wrist access) or Femoral (groin access) Approach in treatment of CTO (Coronary Chronic Total Occlusion)" was accepted in the world's most respected interventional cardiology journal, American College of Cardiology Interventions Journal.

First Randomly Reviewed Study in the Medical Literature
Our Faculty Member, Assoc. prof. Cüneyt Koçaş explained the importance of the article, “The FORT-CTO study was the first randomly reviewed study in the medical literature, showing that CTO interventions can also be performed with the radial route and that the results may be similar or even better from the femoral route.” expressed in his words. Assoc.prof. Koçaş stated that the research made a difference by conducting a multi-centred study and said, “This study has emerged with the combination of operators in 4 different centers in our country, that are capable of handling this sort of process.

We Will Continue to Publish Scientific Publications

Cardiology Specialist, Assoc. prof. Cüneyt Koçaş who has been publishing many works like this, expressed his happiness that the name of our University is being mentioned in a study of this scale,He then added "Our biggest goal is to continue to produce scientific publications of similar quality in the future."

The JACC-Cardiovascular Interventions journal, in which the study was published, is one of the most respected journals in interventional cardiology, and although it accepts a limited number of articles, its impact factor is a very high value of 11.9.
