    ‎Our Vice chancellor Prof. Sevim Savaşer accepted our athletes who won medals in the field of traditional archery and reel bow, in her office.‎
    ‎Our 3rd year student of the Faculty of Medicine Mrs. Yasemin Begüm Topkarcı, who won the bronze medal by taking the 3rd place in the Inter-University Turkish Championship Reel Bow Women Individual Turkey; our third year Child Development student Mr. Elif Doğangün who won the silver medal and ranked 2nd in the Traditional Archery category of the Turkish Inter-University Conquest Sport Fest Competition; our Sports Coordinator Mr. Gökhan Çam and our Coach Mr. Serkan Bilgücü were hosted by Our Vice chancellor Prof. Sevim Savaşer. ‎

     

    ‎32 Medals in 30 Branches‎

    ‎Our Vice chancellor Prof Sevim Savaşer stated that they are proud that our students have achieved success in the field of art and sports as well as in the scientific field. Our Vice chancellor Prof. Sevim Savaşer, who said that as Biruni Family, they are always with the students, continued her words as follows: "Biruni University offers all kinds of opportunities for young people to reveal their talents and raise themselves. With our sports halls, technical equipment and qualified staff, our university will bring new athletes to our country in the future. This year, our university participated in 30 branches, male and female, in competitions and won 32 medals from the competitions. On this occasion, we would like to congratulate all our athletes once again and wish that the success of our athletes will continue to increase."‎

     

    ‎Bow and arrow keep you fit‎

    ‎Our third year Child Development student Mr. Elif Doğangün who won the silver medal in archery and ranked 2nd in the Traditional Archery category of the Turkish Intercollegiate Conquest Sportsfest Competition. Our student expressed her feelings with the following words:‎
    ‎"We continue to keep this heritage alive that we have received from archers with a warrior spirit since the first day in Turkish history, which has the longest history in the world, and from the kemankesh (traditional archer) who have been famous since the Ottoman period. With the strength we get from our history, we are walking towards our future goals. A bow and arrow keep you fit. Because it requires strength, balance and focus." ‎

     

    ‎Birunian is an athlete‎
    ‎Intercollegiate Turkish Championship Reel Bow Women's Individual Turkey 3rd place was won by our Faculty of Medicine 3rd year student Mrs. Yasemin Begüm Topkarcı. She won the bronze medal. Our student explained that she continued her studies at full speed and stated that they would continue to work without slowing down in order to achieve better success. Yasemin Begüm Topkarcı, who said that the Birunians are athletes, advised all students to be interested in a sport. ‎
