23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm

On 22 April 2024, "23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day Ceremony" was held in the conference hall of our university on 23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day.

    Many academicians and students attended the ceremony. Prof. Dr. Dilek Sema Arıcı, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, who made the opening speech on the meaning and importance of the day at the ceremony, emphasised the importance of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, which the great leader Atatürk gifted to our children, the architects of our future. Great Leader Atatürk said, "Little Ladies, Little Gentlemen! You are all a rose, a star and a light of the future. You are the ones who will fill the country with light. Think about how important and valuable you are and work accordingly. We expect a lot from you." emphasised the importance of our children and we understand this emphasis and approach our children and students with great importance and sensitivity." He said. The ceremony continued with the poem "World Children's Day" performed by Beyza Bolat, a 3rd year student of the Department of Child Development and Education, Faculty of Health Sciences. Then, the ceremony ended after the screening of the "Atatürk and Children" themed video prepared by the Child Development and Education Community.
