'BİNARY LABS TECHNOLOGY' FROM 'BİRUNİ TECHNOPARK' COMPANIES WON THE BEST INITIATIVE AWARD IN THE TECHNOFEST INITIATIVE COMPETITION.

'BINARY LABS TECHNOLOGY' from BİRUNİ 'TEKNOPARK' companies won the 1st prize in the 'Teknofest Initiative Competition' organised at the 'Teknofest' science and technology fair held in Ankara with the 'KOZALAK (FORESTGUARD)' project in the 'Acceleration Category' in the 'Disaster Management Technologies' branch. With the project they produced, it is aimed to intervene in fires that may occur in forests in a fast and coordinated manner.

    How Does the System Work?

The system uses artificial intelligence to inform the authorities via satellite communication at the first moments of the fire and enables them to intervene. The system, which has the capacity to analyse the air through wide-spectrum sensors with modules that cover the forest like a network, has been developed to cope with many different fire scenarios. The systems used in its design are fully supported by artificial intelligence. In order to prevent unnecessary interventions, it has a system that can distinguish between smoke released during a forest fire and other gases that may be released due to different situations. Thanks to its flexible structure, the sensor modules do not pose any obstacle to the growth of trees. In the event of an emergency, the modules transmit the data they collect to geostationary satellites in orbit, which in turn transmit the collected data to servers on Earth. If the emergency is confirmed, authorities and fire brigades have the opportunity to take action in less than 15 minutes.

As the winner of the competition, 'BINARY LABS TECHNOLOGY' also won the grand prize of 150. 000 tl
