"We are all deeply saddened by the earthquake disaster, which was recorded as 7.4 magnitude in Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş at 04.17 on Monday, 6 February 2023, and which was also effective in the surrounding provinces; especially Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Osmaniye, Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Malatya, Kilis and Adana. We wish for our country and our nation to recover soon.

At the beginning, our state and our citizens, who exhibit the sense of being a nation in the strongest way with the solidarity they show in difficult days, are strong enough to heal the wounds of this disaster. Biruni University, with all its members and facilities, has been mobilised from the first moment to heal the wounds of the earthquake. ''This is the day for 85 million to be one heart, one wrist. The vehicles of our university, which set out for aid, have reached the disaster areas. As Biruni University, we will always continue to support.

Hoping that such sufferings will not happen again, we wish God's mercy to those who lost their lives in the earthquake, condolences to their relatives and urgent healing to the wounded.
