Library Week was celebrated at Biruni University

    Within the scope of the 60th Library Week, celebrated between 25-31 March 2024, the students who borrowed the most books (literary works and textbooks) from Biruni University Libraries in the last year were presented with Certificates of Appreciation and Gifts at Biruni University Rectorate Office. The certificates of appreciation were presented to the students by Biruni University Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Sevim Savaşer and Prof. Dr. Fatma Çelik and Deputy Secretary General Mehmet Menderes Ünal. The students received a message of thanks and congratulations from Prof Dr Adnan Yüksel, Rector of Biruni University.

    While the Vice Rectors chatted with the students about the importance of reading and the awareness of using the library, the students and librarians participating in the ceremony gave their opinions and experiences about the importance of research and scientific knowledge.

    During the 60th Library Week, which was celebrated with the theme of "Sustainability and Libraries" throughout the country this year, Biruni University students read books simultaneously with 81 provinces.
